Amid news of their legal separation, the announcement that Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik will soon be seen together in a reality show on Urduflix has left many fans confused.
Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and her husband, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik will appear together in a new reality show. While the fact is not surprising, the timing of the announcement confused many fans. There have been rumors for the last week that the two have separated and finally got a divorce. While Sania and Shoaib are yet to comment on this, fans are wondering if these reports are false or all this is a publicity stunt.
On Saturday night, OTT platform Urduflix announced on Instagram that Sania and Shoaib Malik will appear together on The Mirza Malik Show. Sharing a poster of the show featuring the star couple, the post read, “The Mirza Malik Show coming soon only on Urduflix”. The poster shows Sania and Shoaib standing against a green wall with their hands on each other’s shoulders. A window shows the Burj Khalifa in the background. The couple is currently based in Dubai.
Many fans felt that the announcement dismissed the rumors that had been circulating for the past few days, claiming that the couple had split up. A fan wrote, “Bahut acha laga sun kar. Saath Raho (It’s so good to see. Stay together)” wrote another, “Sorry for each other, you two look good together… Shoaib can’t be seen with anyone else.. Sania is perfect for him.”
But others were more confused as neither Sania nor Shoaib shared the post on their handles. One wrote, “Are the split rumors a publicity stunt? It is not like Sania to do that. A fan commented, “Maybe the show was filmed before their marriage problems. Will it still go ahead? They have not shared anything on their socials.
Sania and Shoaib got married in 2010 and moved to Dubai. They welcomed their son Izaan in 2018. Reports in the Pakistani media claimed that both of them were finalizing the legalities to dissolve their marriage. Some reports linked Shoaib with Pakistani model Ayesha Omar. The couple has remained silent on the matter till now.
